Bea Cominsky
Senior Claims Representative
You have been with Remi
for over 14 years and have experienced the company’s cycles of changes
and growth. What is one thing that has remained the same?
The primary
thing that has never changed about Remi is our commitment to provide
excellent
customer service.
Dan Schuster,
CEO, has always taught us that providing exceptional customer service is our
number one priority.
I strive
to provide all of my customers, internal and external, the best service possible.
My goal
is to make people feel special and appreciated.
What do you like most about being a Senior Claims Representative?
There
are
so many positive aspects of being a Senior Claims Representative. The most enjoyable part is working with my
Team. It is
so rewarding to work with such good and talented people. It is amazing how such a diverse group of
people can accomplish great things together. We have always acted as a team; almost like a family.
To quote Bob Burg, an author and public speaker, “All things being equal, people will do business with, and refer business to, those people they know, like, and trust.” What should people know about you and Remi?
I would
like people to know that our Claims Department truly cares about our customers.
We
review
each vendor’s invoice for accuracy. All
clients
are provided individual claims representatives to manage their accounts.
What major changes have you seen at Remi since you started in 1999?
The
biggest change would be our company growth and accompanying increase in
staff. I remember when we had 20
employees, and now we are rapidly approaching 100!
Remi has
shown the ability to change with the times and has always encouraged us to
offer suggestions on how to improve. It’s
admirable
that our company is always open to new ways of doing things.
You are one of the few who have won the company’s highly coveted
Competency, Contribution & Attitude (CCA) Award. Were you surprised you won?
We
have so many smart and accomplished people at Remi and I was honored and
surprised to accept the CCA Award. My parents taught me to have a strong work
ethic and focus on the task at hand. When I am at work, that is my priority. I strive to practice this on a
daily basis.
Over the past decade at Remi, who has been your role model or mentor?
Over
the years there have been so many role models to look up to. I
feel
that Trina McConico has been my mentor since my first day at Remi. Her
professionalism,
enthusiasm, and work ethics are outstanding. She
always
taught me the value of good customer service.
She is a
trusted friend and loyal employee.
What is one piece of advice you would give to new employees at Remi?
My
best advice to new employees at Remi would be to do your best everyday. Remi will provide the proper training. As
long
as you take responsibility for your actions and do your best, you will
succeed. Always
ask
lots of questions; that’s
how
you learn!
